The main usage of the stocks ticker.... is to view stock quotes. And now, the free source from https://exchange.iex.io/ seems to have taken away the free access. Hopefully it is temporary. This allowed real time, rapid refresh.
Sorry. Like I always said - I make no promises and rely on 3rd party free access. For now, sad trombone and all.
I released a new version that reverts to slow and infrequent updates from a well known website. It is possible that in the future I will add the option to put in credentials for some 3rd party subscription - that way I'm still not collecting money from users, but users who wish can pay provider and then set the option to get data there.
Download 2.0.16 from this site through download page or the icon on the right column.
The software is still free... and if you don't donate (and I make no obligation if you do donate) - it will occasionally remind you to donate.
PS. it now takes a minute or so for the stocks to appear - based on the data source deliberate delayed response.
