  3. Dear Developer,

I'm experiencing a persistent crash when closing Free Stocks Ticker (v2.0.28.0). The error occurs during shutdown and prevents normal closure. Here are the key details:

    Error Description:

    System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.
    Parameter name: value
    at System.Xml.Linq.XElement.set_Value(String value)
    at ticker.Utilities.XSettings.set_Item(String optionName, String value)
    at ticker.ScrollerForm.SaveSettings()
    at ticker.ScrollerForm.OnClosing(CancelEventArgs e)
The crash occurs in SaveSettings() when trying to save configuration values, with a null being passed to XElement.Value.

    Troubleshooting Steps I've Taken:

    Tried locating stocksTicker options.xml in:
    %AppData%\Free Stocks Ticker\
    %LocalAppData%\Free Stocks Ticker\
    My Documents\
Program installation directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Free Stocks Ticker)
    Enabled viewing hidden files/folders
Performed system-wide search for stocksTicker options.xml
Verified no antivirus is blocking file creation
    Additional Information:

    OS: Windows 11 Pro 24H2
.NET Version: 4.8.9310.0 (as shown in error details)
Behavior: Occurs consistently on every exit attempt

    Requests:

Could you specify the exact location where stocksTicker options.xml should be created?
Is there an alternate method to reset settings (registry key, command-line parameter)?
Would you like me to provide additional debug logs or system information?
Thank you for your assistance. I appreciate your work on this software and look forward to resolving this issue.

    Best regards,
